1. Usually, dust and any marks can be removed using a damp cloth. Simply wipe over and then buff with a clean dry cloth to a shine –doing this once or twice a week is sufficient to keep the fireplace nice and clean.

Do not use abrasive powdered cleaners, as these will scratch and damage the marble. High alkaline solutions are good for removing soot, as it is an extremely greasy substance.
